Ellie, inside Claude

Ellie is Elevate Leadership's coaching library, available as a connector in Claude. This page covers connecting her, what she answers, and what she can and cannot see.

What Ellie does

Ellie searches Elevate's class library and brings back the class that fits the situation you describe, with the part of the transcript that answers you.

She has one tool, search_courses. It reads and it never writes, so Claude can use it without asking your permission each time. The library holds 64 classes as of September 2026: the same recorded programme Elevate teaches, on feedback, difficult conversations, running one to ones, managing change, and the rest.

You can describe a situation rather than name a topic. "I have to tell someone their work is not good enough and they think it is fine" is a better question for Ellie than "feedback".

What you need first

WhatWhy
A Claude account that supports connectors Ellie is a connector, so she appears inside Claude rather than on a website of her own.
An Ellie subscription You can add Ellie and look at what she offers without one. Asking her a question needs a subscription. See what Ellie costs.
The email address you subscribed with Signing in uses the same address, so Ellie knows which subscription is yours.

Connecting Ellie to Claude

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and give it this address:

https://mcp.elevateleadership.com/mcp/claude

That is all Ellie needs. She will appear in your list of connectors straight away, and you can see what she does before signing in to anything.

The first time you ask her a real question, Claude shows a Connect button in the conversation. Press it, sign in with the address you subscribed with, and Claude asks Ellie your question again on its own. You do not have to retype it.

If you see a message asking you to sign in as text in the conversation, rather than a Connect button, something is wrong at our end. Tell us and we will fix it.

Asking her something

Talk to Claude as you normally would and mention Ellie, or just describe the situation. Some questions that work:

  • "One of my team keeps missing deadlines and gets defensive when I raise it. What does Elevate say about this?"
  • "I am about to run my first one to one with someone who used to be my peer."
  • "We are announcing a reorg on Monday and I have to tell my team on Friday."

Ellie answers with the class she thinks fits, the part of the transcript that covers your situation, and how long the class runs. When nothing in the library fits, she says so instead of offering the nearest thing.

What Ellie can see

Ellie receives the question you asked and nothing else.

She does not read your other conversations with Claude, your uploaded files, or anything Claude remembers about you. She cannot ask Claude for them. What she gets is the question, and what she sends back is a class and a piece of its transcript.

What Claude then does with its own memory of you while writing the reply is Claude's behaviour and happens on Claude's side, not Ellie's.

Signing in tells us which email address holds your subscription. That is what the sign-in is for and it is all it records.

Elevate's privacy policy is the full account.

What Ellie does not do

  • She does not change anything, anywhere. There is nothing she can delete, send or post.
  • She does not know your organisation's own data. She knows Elevate's classes.
  • She does not remember your previous questions. Each one is answered on its own.
  • She does not play video. She names the class and points at it; watching happens in Elevate's library.
  • She will not invent a class. If the library does not cover your situation, she says so.

When something goes wrong

Claude says it cannot reach Ellie

Check the address above character for character, including /mcp/claude at the end. If it is right and Claude still cannot reach her, remove the connector and add it again.

Nothing happens when you press Connect

The sign-in opens in a popup. A browser blocking popups will stop it silently. Allow popups for claude.ai and press Connect again.

Sign-in says there is no subscription on that address

Sign in with the address on your receipt. If you subscribed with a work address and are signed in to Claude with a personal one, Ellie goes by the address you give her at sign-in, not the one on your Claude account.

Ellie stops answering and she was working yesterday

Usually a subscription that has lapsed or a card that has expired. Your receipt email has a link to your billing.

She brings back a class that is not what you meant

Say more about the situation rather than fewer words. Ellie matches on what you describe, so "my report went quiet after I gave them feedback" finds more than "feedback".

Support

Reply to the email receipt for your subscription and it reaches us. Tell us what you asked and what came back, which is usually enough to find the problem.
